WPGo Consent is a complete, 100% free cookie consent and Consent Management Platform (CMP) for WordPress. It is built for the EU rules of today and tomorrow: ePrivacy Directive, GDPR (articles 6, 7, 12, 13, 25, 30), the EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 and the current enforcement priorities of DPAs such as CNIL, AP and BfDI.
Consent is given before any non-essential script or cookie loads. Scripts and iframes are blocked until the visitor chooses, with a robust engine that also catches dynamically injected scripts. Google Consent Mode v2 is supported out of the box (default denied + update on consent).
Six polished banner designs are included: bottom bar, centered modal, floating card, top bar, side drawer and a minimal floating button – each fully customizable in colors, buttons, radius, animation and dark mode, with a live preview in the admin.
Consent choices are granular (Necessary, Preferences, Statistics, Marketing) and every explicit action is logged in your own database with hashed identifiers – exportable to CSV. A built-in scanner detects known services such as GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, Hotjar and YouTube. The plugin integrates with the WordPress Consent API and ships without any external SaaS, telemetry or phone-home.

Install via the WordPress plugin page (upload wpgo-consent.zip), or add the folder under /wp-content/plugins/. Activate the plugin.
1. Go to Consent in the admin and choose the region where strict opt-in applies.
2. Pick a banner design, colors and legal texts (live preview included).
3. Mark your non-essential scripts and iframes with data-consent-category (for example data-consent-category="statistics").
4. Optional: enable Consent Mode v2 in Settings > General.
5. Run the Scanner, then paste [wpgo_consent_policy] and [wpgo_consent_preferences] on the relevant pages.
